Mimshach initially operated with 20 acres dedicated to cultivating sandfish sea cucumber (Holothuria scabra). Today, we take pride in our expanded farm spanning 200 acres, integrating cutting-edge farming technology with the backing of the Sri Lankan government. This enlarged facility is poised to yield an impressive 75metric tons annually value of 1.3 Billion . Our Meshach farm employs distinctive methods in the cultivation of juveniles, anticipating optimal production outcomes. We are confident that our farm will make significant contributions to Sri Lanka’s economy and the aquaculture sector. In doing so, we aim to support small-scale and young farmers in achieving outstanding results within the industry.
Mimshach is in the process of establishing the largest and most advanced hatchery in South Asia, with the capacity to produce 2 million juveniles annually. By employing state-of-the-art breeding techniques, we ensure the production of resilient juveniles tailored to the requirements of our expansive 200-acre farm. Moreover, we aim to supply healthy juveniles to other farms, projecting that our hatchery will be capable of catering to an additional 300 acres of sea cucumber farming. With a focus on hygienic food processing and the implementation of rigorous food safety measures within our processing center, we aim to yield an annual output of 75 metric tons of sea cucumbers. Furthermore, Mimshach is strategically planning to attain ISO-9000 certification within the first year of operation, solidifying our commitment to quality and excellence.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Fishery, NARA, and NAQDA, we plan to establish a community farming structure to support local communities.
